Fitzroy Canoe Club

New Members

By joining a canoe club, you will be in contact with people of all ages who enjoy the pleasure of kayaking/canoeing. For your annual membership fee, members receive sports injury insurance, updates, access to the Club’s equipment, and boat storage.

Experience in a kayak or canoe is not necessary as the Club encourages paddlers at all skill levels.

Prospective new members are welcome to try different types of canoes and kayaks available at the Club, or feel free to bring your own.

The Fitzroy Canoe Club meets every Tuesday and Friday at 6:00am and Sunday morning 7:30 am  for a social paddle. Training sessions for more experienced paddlers occur on Wed mornings from 5:30am.

Following the paddle, members enjoy a chat over a cuppa or cold drink, and a bite to eat.

How to find us

Fitzroy Canoe Club can be found in Rockhampton on the Fitzroy River upstream of the barrage on the northside bank. We are situated at the river end of Richardson Road behind the golf course via McAllister Street.
